Keanu Reeves In Talks To Star In Hulu’s ‘The Devil In The White City’ Series Adaptation

Following an incredible return to a beloved franchise with The Matrix Resurrections, what Keanu Reeves does next has fans standing at attention. Now, as first reported by Deadline, it appears Reeves is in active negotiations to star in a new series in the works at Hulu.
If he signs the dotted line, the series will mark the first major television role for Keanu. Moreover, the project will give him the chance to collaborate with both Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese, who are already on board to serve as the show’s executive producers. Moreover, Todd Field (Little Children) will direct the first two episodes of the series with Rick Yorn (The Aviator), Sam Shaw (Masters of Sex), Jennifer Davisson (Robin Hood) producing. Paramount TV Studios will produce and distribute the series via Hulu alongside ABC Signature.

The series is based on the 2003 historical non-fiction book by Erik Larson, The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America. Based on real characters and events. It tells the story of the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago from the viewpoint of the designers. Notably, the story follows H. H. Holmes, a criminal figure often credited as the first modern serial killer. DiCaprio previously purchased the film rights to the book in hopes of turning it into a film directed by Scorsese.
One of the most prolific actors of his time, Keanu Reeves recently reprised legendary roles in recent hits The Matrix Resurrections and Bill & Ted Face The Music. Up next, the actor will return to John Wick for the fourth and fifth installments of the action franchise. Additionally, Reeves touts a voice role alongside Dwayne Johnson in DC’s upcoming animated movie DC League of Super-Pets.
