Margot Robbie Joins Tom Hanks In Wes Anderson’s Next Film

Fresh off a performance being heralded by fans and critics alike in The Suicide Squad, Margot Robbie has secured her next endeavor. As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie is joining Tom Hanks in the ensemble cast of Wes Anderson’s highly anticipated next film.
Robbie and Hanks serve as the newcomers to the cast that already includes Anderson’s favorites Adrien Brody, Bill Murray, and Tilda Swinton. Additionally, previous rumors point to Jeff Goldblum and Michael Cera circling starring roles in the film as well. At this time, plot details are being kept under wraps. However, the film is reportedly a romance story and be live-action as opposed to stop-motion like other notable Anderson films.

Wes Anderson will write, direct, and produce the currently untitled movie for Searchlight Pictures. Additionally, Steven M Rales (Isle of Dogs) and Jeremy Dawson (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) are on-board to produce as well. Filming begins in Spain later in August.
Up next, Margot Robbie joins her Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood costar Brad Pitt Damien Chazelle’s Babylon. Additionally, the actress will lead Disney’s female-centric Pirates of the Caribbean reboot as well. She will also star alongside John David Washington and Christian Bale in a yet-to-be-titled drama from celebrated director David O. Russell.
