Yahya Abdul-Mateen II To Star In Steven Caple Jr’s Dystopian Thriller ‘By All’

One of the most must-see actors in this day and age is Yahya Abdul Mateen II. Thanks to memorable roles in films like Aquaman, the actor’s career trajectory is continuously moving upwards. Up next, as first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Abdul-Mateen II will star in a new film in the works at Warner Bros. titled By All.
Warner Bros. recently snagged the rights to the film which was being developed by Legendary Entertainment. Moreover, the studio reportedly hopes the film will spawn a franchise with Abdul Mateen II leading the way. Creed II director Steven Caple Jr. will direct the feature with Juel Taylor (Birth of Cool) and Tony Rettenmaier (They Cloned Tyrone) penning the script.

Per the initial report, By All begins within the aftermath of a tragic event and follows the adventures of Donte. Donte, portrayed by Abdul-Mateen II, is a man struggling to make ends meet. However, after a series of mishaps, Donte is must go on the run in a world without law and order. The action thriller promises a provocative story with a timely premise with which many in disenfranchised communities can relate.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II continues to impress whenever given the opportunity. Following scene-stealing roles as Black Manta in Aquaman and Doctor Manhattan in HBO’s Watchmen, the actor will next lead the cast for Nia DaCosta’s Candyman. Additionally, The Trial of the Chicago 7 star will appear alongside Keanu Reeves in The Matrix 4, Anya Taylor-Joy in Furiosa, and lead the cast for Dwayne Johnson’s Emergency Contact.
