“To be associated with Conor is one of the highlights of my professional life,” Dylan says. “It goes without saying the man is a genius for putting this thing together and I’m thrilled to be a part of the experience. My songs couldn’t be in better hands. The play had me crying at the end. I can’t even say why. When the curtain came down, I was stunned. I really was.”
Girl From the North Country takes place in Duluth, Minnesota during the Great Depression in 1934. Harrelson will play proprietor Nick Laine who must contend with his wife Elizabeth (Colman) as she suffers from dementia. Additionally, the couple is simultaneously dealing with the bank foreclosing on their home while their adopted daughter Marianne (Bailey) hides a dark, unexplainable secret. The story takes a sudden turn with escaped convict Joe Scott (Doctor Who star Tosin Cole) seeking shelter in their guest house and developing a relationship with Marianne.
