2021 has been extremely fruitful for director Zack Snyder. Following the success of Zack Snyder’s Justice League and Army of the Dead, the filmmaker is apparently beginning work on his next couple of projects. Now, thanks to a new report from The Illuminerdi, new details on his next film have surfaced.
Per the initial report, the film, titled Horse Latitudes, will follow a veteran war photographer. After taking photos of a diplomat and his family being murdered the photographer teams with a highly-trained soldier to seek out the killer Additionally, Watchmen star Billy Crudup is reportedly attached to star in the film. Moreover, Ant-Man‘s Corey Stoll is in negotiations to join Crudup on the film’s call sheet.
Back in May, the director revealed to Screen Rant that production on the film was being pushed back. “Right now, we’re just waiting a little bit, because the hope is to shoot that movie in South America,” Snyder said. “Because COVID right now is pretty intense in that part of the world, so we’re just waiting for hopefully some relief in order to get up and make that one.”
Recently, Billy Crudup earned a Primetime Emmy Award and a Critics’ Choice Television Award for his work in Apple TV’s The Morning Show. The actor also has a history of working with Snyder following his role as Dr. Henry Allen in Justice League, a role he will not reprise for The Flash solo endeavor. Up next for Crudup is season two of The Morning Show and the romantic crime drama Die in a Gunfight. Meanwhile, Corey Stoll’s career highlights include roles in TV shows like House of Cards and The Strain and movies like Ant-Man and First Man. Up next, the actor has roles lined up in anticipated films like The Many Saints of Newark and West Side Story.
