Ron Perlman To Voice Optimus Primal In ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’

The future of the Transformers film franchise is looking brighter than ever. Last year, Creed II director, Steven Caple Jr. was hired to direct the new film. Moreover, the latest offering enlisted the services of stars on the rise, Anthony Ramos and Dominque Fishback as its male and female leads. Now, as first reported by Collider, Hellboy star Ron Perlman is set to voice Optimus Primal in the upcoming action flick.
The film will officially be titled Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Additionally, the film will introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing war between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

Optimus Primal is the leader of the Maximal faction in the Beast Wars animated series. Primal is one of the Maximal descendants of the Autobots and took the name to honor Optimus Prime. He is eternally loyal to his friends and respectful to his enemies, other than his fierce rivalry with Megatron.
Recently, Ron Perlman starred in The Great War and John Swab’s Run with the Hunted. Moreover, Perlman appears alongside T.I. in the video game adaptation blockbuster Monster Hunter. Up next, Perlman will play Mangiafuoco In Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio.
