Golden Globes 2021: The Complete Nominations List

It is finally the most wonderful time of the year again: awards season. The first big ceremony celebrating the best and the brightest of film and TV in 2020 is the upcoming 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards. This year’s ceremony will air live on Feb. 28 on NBC. Additionally, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return to host the celebration. However, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the two Saturday Night Live alumni will host from two separate locations in New York and Los Angeles.
This year’s nominations are sort of a mixed bag. Given the shutdown of movie theaters all over the world, many film studios took to a variety of streaming services to release their projects. Morover, some notable nominations this year include Hulu’s Palm Springs, the Disney+ musical event Hamilton, and the groundbreaking Regina King directorial debut One Night In Miami.
Additionally, the Golden Globe Awards set themselves apart by also honoring the best in television at their annual event. Some of the most beloved new shows like Ted Lasso and The Mandalorian got love from by the 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
Unfortunately, some prominent snubs have occurred as well. Notably, I May Destroy You, Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods, and Jonathan Majors and Jurnee Smollett for Lovecraft Country.
