Sam Rockwell In Talks To Star In Gore Verbinski’s Upcoming Movie

Gore Verbinski is a prolific filmmaker thanks to his work on beloved classics such as The Ring, the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films, and Rango. However, the Oscar winner has been rather quiet since his last project, The Cure For Wellness, in 2016. However, as first reported by DiscussingFilm, Verbinski is developing a new project with Sam Rockwell in negotiations to lead the cast.
Per the initial report, little is known about the film as of now. However, Matthew Robinson (Dora and The Lost City of Gold) is writing the script with 3 Arts Entertainment on board to produce the project.

In 2017, Sam Rockwell won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Since then, the actor has gone on to star in a host of universally celebrated projects such as Vice, Jojo Rabbit, and Richard Jewell. No stranger to roles on television either, Rockwell earned the Screen Actors Guild Award for his portrayal of legendary film and stage director Bob Fosse in FX’s Fosse/Verdon. Up next, Rockwell joins Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, John Cena, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, and Samuel L. Jackson in Matthew Vaughn’s highly anticipated film Argylle.
