Over the last few decades, director Matthew Vaughn has gifted the world a bevy of memorable action thrillers. In the same vein as his hit films like X-Men: First Class and Kingsman: The Secret Service, the filmmaker is currently working on his next feature film. And, as first reported by Observer, Vaughn is assembling quite the ensemble for the film’s cast.
Per the initial report, Vaughn will write and direct the film about a best-selling author of beloved spy novels. However, she also just so happens to be a world-class spy herself suffering from amnesia. When her complicated past returns to haunt her, so does her memory.
Bryce Dallas Howard is in talks to lead the film’s cast as the spy tricked into thinking she is merely a writer. Additionally, Sam Rockwell is in talks to portray a former agent for the shadowy organization she used to work for, The Division. Finally, Samuel L. Jackson is reportedly on board to play a rogue agent seeking to expose corruption at any cost.
Bryce Dallas Howard has made a career of turning in impressive roles regardless of the genre. Recently, she has stolen scenes in films like Jurassic World and Rocketman. Up next, the actress will reportedly direct episodes of the highly anticipated Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett. In 2017, Sam Rockwell won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Up next, the actor will star as country singer Merle Haggard in an upcoming biopic. Most recently, Jackson appeared in The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard alongside Ryan Reynolds. Next, the cinematic legend will reprise his MCU character Nick Fury in the Disney+ series Secret Invasion.
