John Cena & Jason Momoa To Star In Action Comedy ‘Killer Vacation’ For Warner Bros.

In early 2022, fans were treated to an unexpected crossover within the DCEU when Jason Momoa’s Aquaman appeared alongside Ezra Miller’s The Flash in James Gunn’s HBO Max series Peacemaker. Now, as first reported by Variety, it appears Momoa will reunite with his fellow DC actor John Cena for a new comedy in the works at Warner Bros.
The film, titled Killer Vacation, hails from screenwriters Mark and Brian Gunn (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island). Additionally, Peter Safran, who just took over the helm of the newly formed DC Studios along with James Gunn, will executive produce the film along with John Rickard (Rampage).

Per the initial report, Killer Vacation is comparable to fun, splashy action adventures like True Lies. Reportedly, John Cena and Jason Momoa met on the set of the upcoming Fast and the Furious films and clicked instantly. Killer Vacation is the pair’s attempt to capitalize on their unique chemistry.
John Cena is having a great year. After wowing audiences with his comedic timing and dramatic range in Peacemaker, the actor appeared in the Peacock original film The Independent as well as the Netflix feature The Bubble. Up next for Cena are starring roles in Fast X, Argylle, and Coyote vs. Acme. The 16-time WWE Champion will also return to the world of professional wrestling on the final episode of WWE Smackdown of 2022. Meanwhile, recently turned in memorable performances in Dune and Slumberland. Momoa will join John Cena in Fast X as well as don the iconic superhero suit and trident for DC’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
