The WWE Superstar-turned-movie star pipeline has made stars of a litany of performers like The Rock and John Cena. Now, as first reported by Deadline, WWE Raw star Liv Morgan looks to join that impressive list.
Per the initial report, Morgan, real name Gionna Daddio, will star in the upcoming dark-comedy thriller titled The Kill Room. Morgan joins an extremely stacked ensemble cast already including Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, Joe Manganiello, and Maya Hawke. Additionally, Debi Mazar, Larry Pine, Dree Hemingway, and Leah McSweeney will appear in the film as well.
The feature is written by Jonathan Jacobson (Sole Proprietor) and directed by Nicol Paone (The Heartbreak Kid). The Kill Room follows a hitman named Reggie (Manganiello) his employer (Jackson) and a less-than-trustworthy art dealer (Thurman) as they navigate a money-laundering scheme. However, when the ordeal turns the hitman into an overnight sensation, the art dealer is pit the criminal underworld against the larger-than-life world of high-end art. Liv Morgan will reportedly portray an art purist with a hatred toward art dealers.
The Yale Entertainment-produced feature will make the big-screen debut for Morgan, who appeared weekly as an active member of WWE’s Raw roster. Signing with the WWE in 2014, the performer touts success on all three of the company’s major brands as well as appearances at the annual spectacular, WrestleMania. Notably, Morgan is the subject of a feature-length documentary currently streaming on Peacock titled Liv Forever.
