‘The Suicide Squad’ Star Daniela Melchior To Appear In James Gunn’s ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’

Very little is known about James Gunn’s highly anticipated return to the MCU. While the Guardians of the Galaxy will first have a role to play in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, the ragtag gathering will also get their own third film, closing out Gunn’s trilogy. As first reported by Deadline, Gunn is enlisting the services of an old friend from The Suicide Squad, Daniela Melchior, for an appearance in Vol. 3.
While details on which Marvel character Melchior will portray, many fans have suggested everyone from Moondragon to Drax’s wife Ovette.

Melchior joins other recent additions to the cast Will Poulter, who will portray Adam Warlock, and Peacemaker star Chukwudi Iwuji. The three newcomers join the existing ensemble cast featuring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, and Dave Bautista. James Gunn will write and direct the feature, which recently wrapped principal photography. Additionally, given the Guardians’ involvement in Thor: Love and Thunder, an appearance from Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is likely as well. As always, Marvel COO Kevin Feige is on board as the film’s executive producer.
Daniela Melchior received universal acclaim for her performance as Ratchatcher 2 in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. Since then, fans have clamored to see more of her unique brand of charm on the big screen. Next, Melchior will star in a new film thriller titled Assassin Club alongside Snake Eyes star Henry Golding. Additionally, the actress’ stock continues to rise with an upcoming appearance in Fast X.
