Mary Elizabeth Winstead Joins Rosario Dawson In ‘Ahsoka’ Disney+ Series

Following the castings of Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren and Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, the upcoming Star Wars series following Ahsoka Tano continues to flesh out its cast. Now, as first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, it appears Mary Elizabeth Winstead is the latest name to join the galaxy far, far away.
Winstead joins Pacific Rim: Uprising star Ivanna Sakhno as a recent addition to the ensemble. Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Ahsoka Tano in the series after debuting as former Jedi in season two of The Mandalorian. At this time, details surrounding Winstead’s character and her involvement in the series are scarce. However, the addition is notable due to her relationship with Star Wars alum Ewan McGregor, with whom she shares a son.

Star Wars: Ahsoka hails from writer Dave Filoni, who will executive produce the series alongside Jon Favreau. Lucasfilm is financing the latest Star Wars live-action series with Disney+ handling distribution. Additionally, production on the series is slated to begin in the next few months.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead recently portrayed the Huntress in 2019’s critically acclaimed DC movie Birds of Prey. Since then, the multitalented actress touts various actions roles like Gemini Man, opposite Will Smith, and Kate, opposite Woody Harrelson. Additionally, Winstead has performed as half of the music duo Got a Girl, with Dan the Automator, since 2013.
