‘Ted Lasso’ Star Juno Temple Joins Ewan McGregor In Doug Liman’s ‘Everest’

With just a few episodes left in season two of Apple TV’s hit series Ted Lasso, fans of the series are firmly in support of Juno Temple’s character Keeley Jones. Now, it appears the actress is continuing to capitalize on her well-deserved popularity. As first reported by Deadline, Temple will join Ewan McGregor in the cast of director Doug Liman’s upcoming thriller Everest.
Temple also joins the previously cast Mark Strong and Sam Heughan (Outlander) in the film’s ensemble. Doug Liman will direct with a screenplay penned by Up in the Air writer Sheldon Turner.

Based on the best-selling novel Paths of Glory by Jeffrey Archer, Everest takes place in 1921. The plot focuses on real-life mountain climber George Mallory, portrayed by McGregor in the film. After being selected by the Royal Geographic Society’s Arthur Hinks, portrayed by Mark Strong, Mallory begins preparing to climb Mount Everest.
In addition to her memorable role as the lovable Keeley in Ted Lasso, Juno Temple has quite an extensive résumé with a litany of roles under her belt. Notably, the actress has appeared in hit films like Palmer, Maleficent, Black Mass, and The Dark Knight Rises. Up next, Temple will continue her relationship with Apple TV in the Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Mr. Corman. Additionally, Juno Temple will appear in The Offer, a Paramount+ series depicting the making of The Godfather.
