Following the recent addition of Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren, the upcoming Star Wars series following Ahsoka Tano continues to flesh out its cast. Now, as first reported by Deadline, Pacific Rim: Uprising star Ivanna Sakhno is the latest actress to join the series.
While Bordizzo is portraying an established character in the Star Wars canon, the initial report notes that Sakhno will portray a character newly-created for the series. Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Ahsoka Tano in the series after debuting as former Jedi in season two of The Mandalorian. Moreover, Hayden Christensen is reportedly reprising his role as Darth Vader in the series as well.
Star Wars: Ahsoka hails from writer Dave Filoni, who will executive produce the series alongside Jon Favreau. Lucasfilm is financing the latest Star Wars live-action series with Disney+ handling distribution. Additionally, production on the series is slated to begin in early 2022.
Ivanna Sakhno is from Ukraine and made her acting debut at age 5 in the first-ever Ukrainian-language sitcom, Lesia + Roma. Recently, the actress appeared alongside Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon in The Spy Who Dumped Me in addition to her role in Pacific Rim: Uprising.
