Katee Sackoff Rumored To Star In Bo-Katan Spinoff Series For Disney+

The success of the live-action Star Wars shows on the Disney+ streaming service, has been nearly insurmountable. Thanks to the first two seasons of The Mandalorian as well as the currently running The Book of Boba Fett, the demand for future franchise installments has never been higher. With that in mind, it appears Lucasfilm is ready to give the people what they want. According to a new report from That Hashtag Show, the studio is developing a new series focusing on Bo-Katan Kryze.
Per the initial report, the new series will take place following the events of The Mandalorian series three. However, the report does highlight the use of flashbacks in The Book of Boba Fett so the series may feature Bo-Katan’s past as well. Additionally, Katee Sackhoff is expected to reprise her role as Bo-Katan in the series as well. No word on if her on-screen teammate Sasha Banks will reprise her role in the series at this time.

Bo-Katan first appears as a recurring character in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, voiced by Katee Sackhoff. Sackhoff subsequently reprised her role in Star Wars Rebels and portrayed the character in live-action in The Mandalorian. In The Clone Wars, she is a member of Death Watch, a faction that wishes to return Mandalore to the ancient warrior ways. She is also the sister of Duchess Satine Kryze, the pacifist ruler of Mandalore. In Rebels, Sabine Wren gifts Bo-Katan the Darksaber, making her the new ruler of Mandalore. However, in season 2 of The Mandalorian, she seeks to recover the Darksaber from Moff Gideon after the Purge of Mandalore.
Up next for the Star Wars universe is the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, starring Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christiansen. Moreover, Diego Luna will star as Cassian Andor in his own Rogue One spinoff as well. Disney+ will also release the Rosario Dawson-starring Ahsoka in addition to the Amandla Stenberg-led The Acolyte.
