With Ewan McGregor ready to return to Star Wars in his own series and Ethan Hawke getting ready to take a villainous turn in the MCU, the two fan-favorite actors will next team up for a new film in the works at Apple Studios. As first reported by Variety, McGregor and Hawke will portray brothers in a movie in the works titled Raymond & Ray.
Rodrigo García, creator of HBO’s In Treatment, will direct the picture with the script he penned himself. Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuarón (Roma) will serve as the film’s executive producer alongside Bonnie Curtis (Saving Private Ryan) and Shea Kammer (Gloria Bell). Ewan McGregor recently earned a Primetime Emmy nod for his stellar work in Netflix’s Halston. Additionally, the actor recently ventured into the world of DC as Black Mask in Cathy Yan’s Birds of Prey. Up next, the actor will reprise his legendary role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars series.
