Brendan Fraser Joins The Cast Of Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’

Fresh off a supporting role being heralded on social media in HBO Max’s No Sudden Move, the incomparable Brendan Fraser continues to bolster his iconic filmography. As first reported by Deadline, The Mummy star is joining the already impressive ensemble cast for directors Martin Scorsese’s latest feature.
Fraser joins the previously cast Jesse Plemons, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, and Robert De Niro. The film will be a live-action adaptation of Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI. Written by David Grann, the 2017 novel tells the true story of the Osage Nation murders in the early 1920s. Plemons will portray Tom White, the lead FBI agent investigating the murders. Additionally, First Cow star Lily Gladstone will portray the wife of Ernest Burkhart (DiCaprio), who is the nephew of a powerful local rancher. Finally, De Niro will be playing the powerful and affluent rancher. Fraser joins the cast as a prominent lawyer on the cast named WS Hamilton.

The film’s screenplay hails from A Star is Born and Forrest Gump scribe Eric Roth. Moreover, DiCaprio will executive produce the feature with Scorsese directing. Dan Friedkin (The Mule) and Bradley Thomas (Hall Pass) will also serve as executive producers. Apple Studios will handle financing and distribution via the Apple TV+ streaming service. The film is a part of Scorsese’s overall first-look deal with Apple.
Brendan Fraser currently stars in DC’s acclaimed HBO Max series Doom Patrol as Robotman. Up next, the George of the Jungle actor will star in Dalibor Stach’s Behind the Curtain of Night. Moreover, Fraser will lead the cast of Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming A24 feature titled The Whale.
