Oscars 2021: The Complete Nominations List

Awards season is in full effect with recent events for the Critics’ Choice and the Golden Globe Awards taking place. Now, the full list of nominees for the 93rd Academy Awards has finally been revealed. While this year’s big award ceremonies will look a bit different than in previous years, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the honors remain the same.
Mank leads the pack with a total of ten nominations, including Best Picture. Additionally, it appears the Academy has decided to rightfully nominate Minari as Best Picture instead of the confusing Foreign Film categorization by previous awards committees. Moreover, it appears the Academy will rightfully honor the late, great Chadwick Boseman with a posthumous Best Actor win for his inspiring work in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
Directors Chloé Zhao (Nomadland) and Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman) are both nominated in the Best Director category for the 93rd Academy Awards, with Zhao also becoming the first non-white woman to be nominated. This marks the first time more than one female director has been nominated in the Best Director category.
