Florence Pugh & Morgan Freeman To Star In Zach Braff’s ‘A Good Person’

Perhaps best known for his starring role in the hit series Scrubs, Zach Braff occasionally dabbles in working behind the camera as well. Up next, the actor will direct a new film to be presented at the European Film Market titled A Good Person. As first reported by Deadline, Braff is enlisting the services of Morgan Freeman and Florence Pugh to star in the upcoming picture.
In addition to helming the film, Braff will write the screenplay as well. The story follows its main character Allison, portrayed by Pugh. After being involved in a fatal accident, Allison’s life begins to fall apart. However, a blossoming relationship with her would-be father-in-law, portrayed by Freeman, helps her realize there’s more to life than her grief and she decides to turn things around. CAA Media Finance will handle the project’s financing and domestic distribution. Moreover, the Rocket Science international film & TV studio will present the project at the upcoming event in Berlin.

The latest role continues Pugh’s rise to success. Making a splash in the pro wrestling picture Wrestling With My Family, the Midsommar star was quickly scooped up by Marvel Studios. The actress will debut as Yelena Belova in Black Widow before reprising the role in the Disney+ series Hawkeye. Pugh will also take on the Black Widow moniker in future MCU installments.
Moreover, Morgan Freeman is one of the most celebrated performers in cinematic history. Thanks to memorable roles in films like The Dark Knight, Driving Miss Daisy, and The Shawshank Redemption, Freeman is the recipient of an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Up next, Freeman will appear in Eddie Murphy’s Coming 2 America. Additionally, the living legend will star alongside Rudy Rose in Vanquish and Ryan Reynolds, and Samuel L. Jackson in The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.
