Following the recording-breaking 2019 release of Avengers: Endgame, the Marvel Cinematic Universe shows no signs of slowing down. After tapping Dead To Me director Kat Coiro to helm She-Hulk and Tatiana Maslany as the titular character, Marvel Studios continues to fill the cast out. As first reported by Deadline, Space Force star Ginger Gonzaga is joining the cast of the Disney+ series.
The multitalented comedian and actress will definitely add to the expected comedic nature of the series. With previous roles in comedies like Ted and Living with Yourself, Gonzaga’s comedic timing will help create an MCU property that is unlike anything that’s come before. Per the initial report, Gonzaga will portray the best friend of Jennifer Walters AKA She-Hulk.
While Gonzaga and Maslany will be making their MCU debuts in She-Hulk, a few familiar faces will appear as well. Last summer rumors that Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as the Hulk surfaced. Disney Investor’s Day event confirmed that casting. Moreover, The Incredible Hulk star Tim Roth is on-board to play The Abomination as well.
Additionally, previous reports point to Jennifer Walters specializing in superheroic law within the events of the series. Additionally, the past of her cousin, Bruce Banner, is rumored to be explored throughout the series as well. Finally, reports that William Hurt will become the Red Hulk throughout the events of She-Hulk hit the web. Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty) will serve as lead writer and showrunner and Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross is rumored to return.
