Rumor: Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross Will Return In ‘She-Hulk’

Earlier today, it was revealed by Daniel Ritchman that Disney+ is currently casting for the titular role in She-Hulk. Well, the insider has now revealed further details, including some exciting surprises. The upcoming series will reportedly see the return of Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross to the MCU.
Ritchman has reported that Tyler is currently in negotiations to reprise her role as from The Incredible Hulk in the Disney+ series. The last we saw of Betty was in the 2008 film, where she starred alongside Edward Norton as Bruce Banner. Since then, there has been no sign of her character in the MCU.
Tyler may not be the only Incredible Hulk star set to appear in the series. Per Richtman, William Hurt will reprise his role as Secretary Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. The actors last MCU appearance was in Avengers: Endgame. Next year, Hurt will appear in Black Widow, the first solo outing for Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff.

Given this show will see Bruce Banner’s cousin, Jennifer Walters, become the titular hero in She-Hulk, it isn’t too much of a leap to think another character could join her. Since Hurt will be appearing in a Hulk-centric series, this could be how Marvel will introduce Red Hulk. However, it should be noted this is just conjecture at this time.
Finally, Richtman revealed some details about the casting for Walters. According to the scooper, Marvel is looking for actresses in their 30s-40s to play the character. This helps to narrow down the potential pool of talent Marvel is looking to add to their ever-growing roster of Disney+ series.
