Based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle by best-selling author Kotaro Isaka, Bullet Train will focus on a battle within the mafia and features a bevy of snipers at odds with each other on a moving train. Moreover, the celebrated Japanese novel will reportedly be published in English next year. The screenplay hails from Lights Out producer Zak Olkewicz. Additionally, Leitch will oversee the development of the script as well. Kotaro Isaka’s management team of Ryosuke Saegusa and Yuma Terada are on-board to produce. Kelly McCormick (Poms), Antoine Fuqua, and Kat Samick (The Equalizer) will serve as executive producers.
Recently, filmmaker David Leitch continues to create big-budget action flicks with top-tier actors at the forefront.
