‘The Kissing Booth’ Star Joey King Joins The Cast Of Brad Pitt’s ‘Bullet Train’

Last month, reports that Brad Pitt will team with Deadpool 2 director David Leitch for a high-speed action thriller titled Bullet Train. The plot details promise a brutal battle between fellow assassins and how it appears one of Pitt’s fos as been cast. According to Deadline, The Kissing Booth star Joey King is in negotiations to star in the upcoming picture.
The role in the big-budget feature will continue to bolster King’s young acting career. Her role in Netflix’s The Kissing Booth, and its subsequent sequel, endeared her to audiences over the last few years. Additionally, King received critical acclaim for her starring role in The Act and was nominated for both a Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award.
Based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle by best-selling author Kotaro Isaka, Bullet Train will focus on a battle within the mafia and features a bevy of snipers at odds with each other on a moving train. The celebrated Japanese novel will reportedly be published in English next year.

The screenplay is being penned by Lights Out producer Zak Olkewicz. Additionally, Leitch will oversee the development of the script. Kotaro Isaka’s management team of Ryosuke Saegusa and Yuma Terada are on-board to produce.
Recently, filmmaker David Leitch continues to create big-budget action flicks with top-tier actors at the forefront. His recent directorial credits include Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde, John Wick, and Hobbs & Shaw. Moreover, Leitch has previously expressed a desire to work within the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the upcoming feature Blade.
