Ryan Gosling To Star In David Leitch’s Untitled Stuntman Drama In The Works At Universal Pictures

Ryan Gosling is arguably one of the most dependable names in modern Hollywood. His versatility allows him to shine in a bevy of genres from musicals like La La Land to action-thrillers like Blade Runner 2049. Up next, according to Deadline, the Canadian actor will team up with John Wick director David Leitch for an upcoming drama in the works at Universal Pictures.
The film will reportedly be a personal story told by Leitch. Gosling will star as a stuntman in the feature, a profession all too familiar to Leitch. Following a successful career making action stars look like a million bucks, Leitch transitioned to a career behind the camera. The fruits of his labor can be seen in big box office draws like Deadpool 2 and Atomic Blonde. Additionally, the yet-to-be-titled drama will be penned by Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation scribe Drew Pearce. Pearce and Leitch last collaborated on the Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw.

Ryan Gosling will also serve as executive producer for the film alongside Leitch, Kelly McCormick (Deadpool 2), and Geoff Shaevitz (Batman Begins).
Gosling last appeared on the big screen in Damien Chazelle‘s First Man. His upcoming projects include starring roles in The Gray Man and The Wolfman. Moreover, Leitch will next team with Brad Pitt and Joey King for Sony’s upcoming action-thriller Bullet Train. The filmmaker will also serve as executive producer for the highly anticipated fourth and fifth John Wick films.
