Full Roster For James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’ Revealed

Over the last year, fans and critics alike have wondered just who from the legendary roster of DC Characters would James Gunn’s incredible ensemble for The Suicide Squad suit up as. Now, thanks to the exclusive panel at DC Fandome, fans now know exactly who each big-name actor will potray in the upcoming sequel. Check out the full list below.

In a behind the scenes look at the movie, the upcoming feature is described as a “’70s war pic combined with Gunn’s distinct comedic sensibilities and style.” It appears WB hopes to put as much space between the new film and 2016’s Suicide Squad directed by David Ayer. Absent from the list, however, is Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, who has a yet-to-be-revealed role in the film.
The Suicide Squad will be a soft reboot of the franchise. While it will feature characters from 2016’s David Ayer-led Suicide Squad, many fans except a completely different tone. Gunn recruited a litany of A-list talent for the film and spent many months filming scenes in Central America. Additionally, set footage and photos have provided fans with small glimpses of what to look forward to. Among them are Harley Quinn’s new look, John Cena as a bad guy, and Idris Elba taking the lead.
The Suicide Squad is set to hit theaters on August 6, 2021.
The film stars Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, David Dastmalchian, John Cena, Daniela Melchior, Idris Elba, Peter Capaldi, and Storm Reid.
