‘The Suicide Squad’ Set Footage Features John Cena’s Peacemaker

James Gunn’s highly anticipated The Suicide Squad is currently filming in Santa Ana, Panama City. Recently, some eagle-eyed fans were able to spot one of the film’s stars, John Cena, and capture some video of the set.

While the footage doesn’t reveal much in terms of plot, it does feature a new look at Cena on set. The actor will portray the superhero Peacemaker in the film alongside fellow stars Margot Robbie, Viola Davis and Idris Elba.

Some of the actors in the video look to be armed, which could suggest this could be an action set piece in the film. What is interesting about this, though, is that Cena’s character is not suited up in costume but is instead in civilian clothes. Assuming filming will continue in the open, it seems likely other stars may be spotted on set soon. Hopefully, fans may even see Cena suited up as Peacemaker soon.

The plot of Gunn’s The Suicide Squad has remained mostly under wraps with much of the film still a mystery. A number of the stars’ roles still remain undisclosed.
