Anne Hathaway & Bill Murray Team Up For Dog Drama ‘Bum’s Rush’

Two of the most recognizable names in Hollywood are teaming up for a new drama from Rocket Science. As first revealed during the virtual Cannes Market, Anne Hathaway and Bill Murray will star in the upcoming canine picture titled Bum’s Rush.
Per a report from Variety, Hathaway will star in the film as a highly-skilled custom boot maker. During the events of the upcoming film, Hathaway’s character comes into contact with a stray dog named Bum, voiced by Bill Murray. Together, the duo faces some serious dilemmas and bond over crossroads that will change both of them in deep and serious ways.

Bum’s Rush will be directed by Aaron Schneider, the filmmaker behind Tom Hanks’ upcoming Apple TV thriller Greyhound. Moreover, the script comes from Blood Diamond writer C. Gaby Mitchell. Additionally, legendary actor Robert Duvall is reportedly in talks to appear in the film as well.
Bill Murray has picked his latest slew of projects extremely carefully over the years. The iconic comedian last appeared in Zombieland: Double Tap and will next star in Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch. Murray will also reprise his famous role as Dr. Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters: Aftermath. On the other hand, Hathaway continues to carve out an ambitious résumé or herself. In 2019, the actress appeared in Dark Waters and Hustle, alongside Rebel Wilson. Up next, the versatile performer will star in the upcoming Sesame Street movie as well as Armageddon Time with Robert De Niro and Oscar Isaac.
