‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 Already In Development At Disney+

A few months ago, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that the second season of the first live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian would arrive on Disney+ in October. Since then, a wave of casting news and speculation have landed online with fans eager to see what happens next. However, with plenty of time before season two’s premiere, a third season is reportedly already in the works.
Per the initial report from Variety, sources close to the show’s production claim pre-production for season three is well underway. Moreover, these same sources claim that series creator Jon Favreau (Iron Man) has had a third season in his mind for a while. Amidst the halts in several film and TV productions due to the CO-VID 19 pandemic, the production design department over at Disney and LucasFilm have begun laying the groundwork for the look and feel of the series past season two.
Season one of The Mandalorian was revered by fans and critics alike. The deep-dive into the wide assortment of creatures and planets in the Star Wars universe offers fans of the series an exciting new perspective. Additionally, the introduction of The Child (AKA Baby Yoda) is a highly discussed topic on various social media outlets. The series came in at number 2 on Full Circle’s Top 10 TV Shows Of 2019.

Season two of The Mandalorian is shaping up to be rather ambitious. For example, series star Giancarlo Esposito recently teased some major Lightsaber action in season two. Moreover, Daredevil star Rosario Dawson will appear as the fan-favorite character from the Star Wars animated series The Clone Wars and Rebels Ahsoka Tano. Additionally, WWE Superstar Sasha Banks and the legendary Jamie Lee Curtis will reportedly appear in the upcoming season as well.
