WWE Star Sasha Banks To Appear In ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2

When the Disney+ streaming service launched, the first thing fans all over the world watched was The Mandalorian. The first live-action Star Wars series went on to become beloved and ranked high on several best of 2019 lists. A few weeks ago, the show’s creator Jon Favreau confirmed a second season was in production and will premiere this fall. However, while information regarding season two remains scarce, the series just added an unlikely face to the cast. As first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE star Sasha Banks will appear in season 2 of The Mandalorian.
Banks, whose real name is Mercedes Kaestner-Varnado, is one of the WWE’s biggest superstars. The 6-time Women’s Champion helped usher in a new era for women’s wrestling and changed how fans view females within the profession. However, her involvement in the Disney+ series is a big accomplishment for the performer’s career.
Banks likely hopes to follow in the footsteps of Dwayne Johnson, Dave Bautista, and John Cena and transition a WWE career into acting full-time.

The Mandalorian expanded the Star Wars universe in new and exciting ways. The 8-episode first season has been a hit with fans, to say the least. The gritty storytelling along with the cuteness of The Child has sent fans into a frenzy from the very beginning. Moreover, the series gives the Star Wars franchise its first chance for longterm live-action storytelling. Cameos from Jason Sudeikis (We’re The Millers), Ming-Na Wen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Bill Burr (Breaking Bad) were fun additions to the franchise. Additionally, episodes directed by Bryce Dallas Howard, Taika Waititi and Rick Famuyiwa give more storytellers a chance to play with the lore.
