Per the initial report, Sharon Stone will portray a new character not previously seen in the pages of DC Comics named Victoria Kord. The last name Kord may strike a chord with longtime comics fans given the tenure of a character named Ted Kord. Created by Steve Ditko and Gary Friedrich, Ted Kord first appeared in Captain Atom #83 in 1966. Notably, Kord is the second version of the Blue Beetle hero following Dan Garrett.
Sharon Stone is a Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner. Thanks to her memorable roles in hit films like Basic Instinct and Total Recall, Stone is one of the most recognizable actresses of her generation. Most recently, Stone has appeared in TV shows like Netflix’s Ratched. Up next, she’ll tout a guest-starring role in HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant.
