‘Kraven The Hunter’ Adds ‘White Lotus’ Star Fred Hechinger As The Chameleon

Kraven the Hunter is getting a brother! Deadline has reported White Lotus star Fred Hechinger has joined the Sony Pictures film, potentially as The Chameleon.
Kraven is Spider-Man’s most well-known enemy, and also incredibly powerful. His half-brother, The Chameleon was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, first appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man #1 in 1963. The supervillain is a master of disguise, touting the ability to impersonate anyone. Hechinger joins the previously cast Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Russell Crowe in the film’s cast, with Jodie Turner-Smith rumored to appear as well.

Sony has had two recent successes at the box office, with Venom: Let There Be Carnage making more than $500 million worldwide, and Spider-Man: No Way Home grossing $1.7 billion worldwide, becoming the biggest film of 2021. They have Morbius upcoming, and for future plans, they have a Madame Web film that will star Dakota Johnson.
Hechinger has most recently starred in HBO’s White Lotus and is currently starring in the Hulu limited series Pam & Tommy. Right now, he is filming with Christian Bale in Scott Cooper’s The Pale Blue Eye. He will next star alongside Nicolas Cage in Butchers Crossing, an adaptation of John Williams’ 1960 novel.
Kraven the Hunter will release on January 13, 2023
