David Dastmalchian Joins Keira Knightley In ‘Boston Strangler’

On one of the hottest streaks in Hollywood right now, David Dastmalchian continues to add to his recent string of hit films. As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Dastlamchian is poised to star alongside two-time Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley in 20th Century Studios’ Boston Strangler.
The film is based on the infamous Boston Strangler murders that occurred from 1962 to 1964, a killing spree that left 11 women dead. Knightley will portray the real-life reporter Loretta McLaughlin, who is credited with breaking the story about the strangler. At this time, Dastmalchian is playing a mystery role, but the initial report claims it is pivotal. Carrie Coon, Alessandro Nivola, and Chris Cooper will appear in the film as well.

Crown Heights director Matt Ruskin will direct the feature with a script he penned himself. Disney’s 20th Century Studios will handle financing and distribution. Moreover, House of Gucci director Ridley Scott will executive produce the film via his Scott Free production banner alongside Kevin Walsh (The Last Duel) and Michael Pruss (Equals). Production will begin next month in Boston.
Following appearances in Ant-Man and The Dark Knight, David Dastmalchian is a household name. Recently, the actor touts memorable roles in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and Dennis Villeneuve’s Dune. Up next, the versatile performer will star alongside In The Heights star Corey Hawkins in Last Voyage of the Demeter.
