Shameik Moore Joins Sydney Sweeney In Ruben Amar’s Crime-Drama ‘Silver Star’

A star on the rise, Shamiek Moore continues to impress when given the opportunity. As first reported by Deadline, Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney will share top billing with Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse star Shameik Moore in a new crime drama titled Silver Star.
Per the initial report, the film will follow a 20-year-old Civil War re-enactor named Buddy after he is released from prison. Struggling to find a job, Buddy is desperate to reconnect with his parents by saving their home from foreclosure by any means necessary. During a misguided bank robbery attempt, Buddy takes a pregnant 19-year-old named Fanny as his hostage and the two embark on a cross-country road trip across America.

The film is based on an original screenplay written by Ruben Amar. Moreover, Amar will direct the feature as well. Additionally, Amar will produce the feature via his Les Films de la Fusée production banner. MK2 Productions will handle financing and will be shopping the project at the upcoming Cannes market.
Despite sharing a screen with Emmy Award winner Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney continuously steals every scene in HBO’s Euphoria. Up next, Sweeney will team with four-time Billboard Music Award winner Halsey for a new series titled The Player’s Table. Meanwhile, Shameik Moore shines bright as the voice of Miles Morales in the Oscar-winning Into The Spider-Verse, a role he will reprise in the 2022 sequel. Additionally, the multi-hyphenate also turned heads as rapper Raekwon in Hulu’s biographical series Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
