‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Star Thomas Kretschmann Joins The Cast Of ‘Indiana Jones 5’

Director James Mangold is well underway in casting the upcoming fifth installment in the Indiana Jones franchise. After the announcements for Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen joining the cast, we have word that Thomas Kretschmann has joined as well in an undisclosed role.
The actor, best known for his supporting roles in Avengers: Age of Ultron, 2005’s King Kong, and Wanted, will be joining Mikkelsen, Waller-Bridge, and franchise star Harrison Ford in the titular role.

This will be the first film in the franchise not helmed by Steven Spielberg; the franchise’s co-creator. He will be executive producing along with Kathleen Kennedy (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) Frank Marshall (Eight Below), and Simon Emanuel (Solo: A Star Wars Story).
Story details are scarce at this time. All that is known is that writer/director took over the helm from Spielberg and that production is set to begin in the coming months.
