Zendaya To Voice Lola Bunny In ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’

Fresh off a huge win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards, Zendaya continues to bolster her already impressive résumé. With the second season of Euphoria likely beginning production early next year, the performer’s somehow found time to lend her voice talents to the upcoming Space Jam sequel. As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, Zenadaya will voice Lola Bunny in the movie.
The news accompanies the film’s first trailer, which premieres online Saturday. While the highly-anticipated feature will drop in July, little is known of the actual plot. However, Full Circle Cinema previously reported that the film will incorporate other characters owned by Warner Bros like Joker and Pennywise. The initial trailer confirms those reports with the appearances by Godzilla, Kong, and Scooby-Doo.

Zendaya joins her Smallfoot castmate Lebron James in the film, titled Space Jam: A New Legacy. Don Cheadle and Sonequa Martin-Green are also among those appearing in the live-action/animated hybrid. Zendaya also joins Gabriel Iglesias, Eric Bauza, Bob Bergen, and Jeff Bergman in bringing the legendary Looney Tunes characters to life.
Following a groundbreaking role in HBO’s Euphoria, Zendaya continues to carve out a great legacy all her own. Most recently, the multihyphenate appeared alongside Tenet‘s John David Washington in Malcolm & Marie on Netflix. In addition to her role as MJ in Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man films, the talented performer will next appear on the big screen in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune and lead the cast of A24’s upcoming Ronnie Spector biopic.
