Dominique Fishback Joins Samuel L. Jackson In Apple’s ‘The Last Days Of Ptolemy Grey’

Following a powerful turn in the award-winning film Judas and the Black Messiah, Dominique Fishback is building quite the stellar résumé for herself. As first reported by Variety, the actress will next star alongside cinematic legend Samuel L. Jackson in the upcoming Apple TV+ series The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey.
Jackson will star in the series as well as perform the duties of an executive producer. Based on the acclaimed novel by best-selling author Walter Mosley, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey is a moving novel about age, memory, and family. Jackson will embody the titular role of Ptolemy Grey, a 91-year-old man forgotten by those closest to him. When faced with sinking deeper into his lonesome dementia, Grey gains the opportunity to briefly regain his memories and uses the fleeting moments to solve the mystery of his nephew’s death. Additionally, the story follows the process of coping with one’s past and steps to forgiveness. Fishback will co-star in the series as Robyn, a trusted friend of the Grey family.

In addition to the Fishback casting, White Tiger director Ramin Bahari will helm the six-episode series. The aforementioned Walter Mosley will pen the 6-episode limited series and produce the project as well. Moreover, David Levine and Eli Selden will produce via their Anonymous Content banner alongside Diane Houslin (The Ashley Graham Project). The series will premiere on the Apple TV+ streaming service with production beginning sometime this spring.
Dominique Fishback turned heads following her role as a streetsmart aspiring rapper opposite Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Netflix’s Project Power. Additionally, her notable film credits include appearances in films like The Hate U Give and Night Comes On. The future megastar also touts a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the upcoming BAFTAs ceremony.
