Chris Evans Joins Jennifer Lawrence & Leonardo DiCaprio In Adam McKay’s ‘Don’t Look Up’

Adam McKay is one of the most prolific filmmakers of his time. The director touts a laundry list of hit films including The Big Short, Vice, and Step Brothers. Up next, McKay will team with Netflix for a new feature film starring two incomparable Oscar winners, Jennifer Lawerence and Leonardo DiCaprio. However, as first reported by Deadline, it appears Avengers: Endgame star Chris Evans is joining the already impressive cast of stars as well.
Evans will join the likes of Meryl Streep and Just Mercy‘s Rob Morgan in the film. Additionally, Jonah Hill and Dune star Timothée Chalamet appear on the film’s call sheet as well. Moreover, the film will feature an array of talent with Tenet‘s Himesh Patel and Cate Blanchett on-board. Additionally, Tyler Perry, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry, and Tomer Sisley will also make appearances in the highly anticipated Netflix feature.

Don’t Look Up follows a pair of astronomers, played by Lawerence and DiCaprio. The two team up and embark on a media tour to warn mankind that an asteroid is approaching and will destroy Earth. McKay will write, produce, and direct the picture. Moreover, Kevin Messick (Jack Reacher) is on-board to produce the film. Production is currently underway in Boston.
Evans, who played Steve Rogers AKA Captain America in a total of 9 Marvel films over the course of 9 years, is entering the prime of his career. Following a standout role in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, the actor will next appear as dentist Orin Scrivello in The Little Shop of Horrors remake. That film will see Evans reunite with his fellow Avenger Scarlett Johanson. Additionally, Evans will lead the cast in Scott Derrickson’s thriller, Bermuda.
