Amazon To Develop ‘Jack Reacher’ Series With ‘Scorpion’ Creator Nick Santora

Amazon is moving forward with a new drama series based on Lee Child’s bestselling Jack Reacher novels. Scorpion’s Nick Santora set to serve as writer, producer, and showrunner according to Deadline.
The show will be a collaborative production between Amazon Studios, Paramount Television, and Skydance Television. Set to produce alongside Santora will be series author Lee Child, as well as Christopher McQuarrie, who directed a Jack Reacher film starring Tom Cruise back in 2012. Santora is no stranger to action oriented material, having served as a producer on Prison Break.
The Jack Reacher novels follow the title character after he leaves the US army pursuing odd jobs and investigating suspicious criminal activity. As of 2018, 23 novels have been published with more than 100 million books sold. Amazon recently renewed Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan for a third season, so there will be plenty of high octane content for their Prime viewers in the near future.
