Florence Pugh Will Reportedly Appear As Yelena Belova In ‘Hawkeye’

It seems that Black Widow won’t be the last time fans will see Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova. According to The Direct, Pugh will reprise her role in Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye series on Disney+.
While the full extent of Pugh’s role is currently unknown, The Direct claims she will don a Ronin inspired suit similar to the one worn by Clint Barton in Avengers: Endgame. It seemed likely that Marvel had big plans for Pugh’s character, so her addition to the cast of Hawkeye makes sense.

It has been teased that Black Widow will be handing off the baton where Yelena could become the new Black Widow of the MCU in the wake of Natasha Romanoff’s death. Now given she will appear alongside Renner’s Barton, this seems even more likely. Whether Clint knew of Yelena is yet to be revealed, but it is rumored he could appear in Black Widow. This will make her transition to Hawkeye easier if she and the archer are already familiar with one another.
The upcoming series will star Jeremy Renner as the Avenger Clint Barton. Hawkeye will reportedly feature Barton training a new hero named Kate Bishop. Additionally, recent rumors point to Bumblebee‘s Hailee Steinfeld starring as Bishop. Jonathon Igla, who has previously worked on Mad Men, is writing the series. Additional rumors tease appearances by The Clown and The Tracksuit Mafia as well.
