RUMOR: Madame Masque Will Appear In ‘Hawkeye’ Disney+ Series

During last weekend’s Emmy Awards ceremony, Marvel and Disney+ revealed the first trailer for WandaVision. The upcoming series looks to serve as the first of Marvel’s new slate of live-action shows featuring familiar faces as well as some new heroes. One of the confirmed shows in the early stages of development is the Jeremy Renner-led Hawkeye series. A new rumor from The Direct reveals that a classic villain from Marvel Comics, Madame Masque, will have a role to play in Hawkeye.
Per the initial report, Marvel Studios is currently in the process of casting an actress to play the villain. The character first appears in the pages of Marvel Comics in Tales of Suspense #98 in February 1968. Born Giulietta Nefaria, the villainess is highly skilled in hand to hand combat as well as being an expert markswoman. Moreover, Madame Masque often appears as a love interest of Iron Man and dons a golden mask to cover up her disfigured face. The character has already appeared as the renamed Whitney Frost in the MCU during season two of Agent Carter, portrayed by Wynn Everett (This is Us).
