Kristen Bell To Star In Netflix Limited Series ‘The Woman In The House’

Following what is already a stellar litany of memorable roles, Kristen Bell continues to shine using her unique blend of charm and humor. Up next, the Frozen star will team with Netflix for a dark comedy series titled The Woman in the House, Variety reports.
The series hails from Will Ferrell’s Gloria Sanchez Productions. Additionally, Will Ferrell will board the series as an executive producer. Additionally, the original concept for the series stems from the creators of TV Land’s Nobodies Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson, and Larry Dorf. The three filmmakers will handle day-to-day operations as co-showrunners as well. Moreover, Marti Noxon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Jessica Elbaum (Booksmart), and Brittney Segal (Search Party) will executive produce as well.

The eight-episode series will follow Kristen Bell’s Anna. After having her heartbroken, Anna falls into a cycle of mundane wine-drinking and people-watching through her window. However, just as it appears life is about to pass her by, a handsome man moves in across the street and Anna begins to feel hopeful again. Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse when she potentially witnesses a gruesome murder. In addition to the starring role, Bell will serve as a producer as well. At this time, no other casting information has been announced.
Earlier this year, Bell’s hit NBC series The Good Place came to an end after four seasons. While the series helped further endear Bell to a wider audience, she is perhaps best known for voicing Anna in Frozen and Frozen 2. The actress also recently stepped down from voicing Molly Tillerman in Apple TV’s Central Park musical series, being replaced by Umbrella Academy‘s Emmy Raver-Lampman. Up next, Bell will star alongside Vince Vaughn in the counterfeiting comedy Queenpins.
