A few comedic heavyweights are joining forces for a new feature film based on true events. As first reported by Deadline, Kristen Bell, Vince Vaughn, and Leslie Jones will team up to star in an upcoming counterfeiting comedy titled Queenpins.
Additionally, Da 5 Bloods star Paul Walter Hauser will appear in the film as well. The picture will reportedly be written and directed by team Emmy-nominated husband and wife team of Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly. Best known for their work on Beneath The Harvest Sky, the filmmaking duo will produce the picture through their Team A & G, Inc banner.
The film is based on an incredible true story of the largest coupon counterfeit scheme in American history. It will focus on two best friends in Pheonix (Jones and Bell) who create a plot to counterfeit coupons and soon find themselves running a $40 million scam. Aloe Entertainment and Marquee Entertainment will collaborate to finance and produce the film with production beginning later this year.

Recently, Bell lent her voice to Frozen 2, the highest-grossing animated film of all time. Currently, the actress appears alongside Josh Gad and Leslie Odom, Jr. in AppleTV’s Central Park. Up next, Bell will star in the upcoming sequel series to the award-winning CW drama Gossip Girl. Moreover, Leslie Jones left the cast of Saturday Night Live to pursue more big-screen opportunities. The Ghostbusters star now has her own Netflix special and will next star with Eddie Murphy in Coming 2 America.
Furthermore, Vince Vaughn continues to create an impressively memorable filmography with both comedian and dramatic roles. Last appearing in Fighting With My Family, the Swingers star will next appear in the Liam Hemsworth-starring thriller Arkansas. Following an award-winning turn in Richard Jewell, Paul Walter Hauser will next play Horace in Disney’s Cruella with Emma Stone.
