‘Mindhunter’ Star Alex Morf Joins ‘Batwoman’ Season 2 As Victor Zsasz
With production already underway in Canada, season two of The CW’s Batwoman is one of the most anticipated offerings from the Arrowverse. With leaked peaks at the shows new star Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder, the series is looking to make a splash. As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, an iconic member of Batman’s rogue’s gallery will be joining the series as Mindhunter‘s Alex Morf is on-board to play supervillain Victor Zsasz.
Debuting in the pages of DC Comics in Batman: Shadow of the Bat #1 in June 1992, Zsasz is the creation of Alan Grant and Norm Breyfogle. He is a sadomasochistic and psychopathic serial killer who carves a tally mark onto himself for each of his murder victims. Bill & Ted Face the Music star Anthony Carrigan previously portrayed Victor Zsasz on Fox’s Gotham. Most recently, the character appeared as Black Mask’s right-hand man in Birds of Prey, portrayed by The Mindy Project star Chris Messina.

However, this will not be Alex Morf’s first venture into the DC universe as he previously appeared in Fox’s Gotham. Moreover, the actor touts featured roles in Marvel’s Daredevil and Netflix’s Mindhunter. Morf joins London Has Fallen star Shivani Ghai as recent additions to the cast of Batwoman.
Season two of Batwoman will see Javicia Leslie become the first woman of color to embody the iconic character. Leslie takes the role over from season one star Ruby Rose, who departed the series earlier this year. Like many other series, Batwoman season one halted early due to the coronavirus pandemic. The show had a planned 22-episode season, but Episode 20 served as its season finale.
