Wednesday, fans got their first look at Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder on the set of Batwoman. Now new images from the set have revealed Leslie suited up in costume.

The images, which can be found below, feature the star suited up in her own Batsuit. It appears remarkably similar to Ruby Rose’s version of the costume, so it doesn’t seem as though any changes have been made to it. Perhaps she may get a new look later in the season, but for now, she will be sporting the classic Batwoman look.

In addition to the first look at Leslie as Batwoman, Canadagraphs also learned an interesting detail about the scene they were shooting. While filming the episode, individuals on set referred to a car on location as the Batmobile. The vehicle had motion capture tags all over it, so it appears the Batmobile will be partially CGI.

Leslie’s Wilder is set to take over the mantle of Batwoman from Rose’s Kate Kane after she goes missing. The CW and WarnerMedia are committed to the show’s LGBTQ representation. Wilder will find inspiration in Kane’s work as Batwoman and decide to take up the mantle. However, the move would be unprecedented. Leslie will become the first woman of color to embody the iconic character Batwoman in the upcoming season of the CW series. Like many other series, Batwoman season one halted early due to the coronavirus pandemic. The show had a planned 22-episode season, but Episode 20 served as its season finale.
