Adam Driver, Robert De Niro, Jared Leto, & Al Pacino In Talks To Join Ridley Scott’s ‘Gucci’

As she continues to sell millions of albums all around the world, Lady Gaga has actually built a rather impressive acting résumé as well. Following roles in American Horror Story: Hotel and A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga has been nominated for and won Academy and Golden Globe Awards. Up next, the multitalented performer will star in Ridley Scott’s Gucci. As first reported by Deadline, big-name actors Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro are all in negotiations to join the singer in the cast as well.
Additionally, Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) and Reeve Carney (Gemini) are circling roles in the film as well. Gaga will play Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of fashion powerhouse Maurizio Gucci. Patrizia was convicted of orchestrating his assassination in 1995 and served 18 years in jail before being let out in 2016. Per the initial report production for the upcoming film will go into production once Scott finishes shooting The Last Duel.

The upcoming feature will depict the events leading up to and following the grisly assassination. The film features a script penned by Roberto Bentivegna (The Last Man in Brooklyn) and based on Sara Gay Forden’s 2001 book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed. Ridley Scott will produce the picture as well alongside his wife Giannina Scott and Kevin Walsh (Manchester by the Sea).
Adam Drive last starred in the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Up next, he will actually star in Scott’s The Last Duel and Leos Carax’s Annette. Moreover, Jared Leto will star in the upcoming Marvel film Morbius with a role in Disney’s Tron sequel afterward. Robert De Niro recently made the rounds during awards season for his role in The Irishman. He will appear alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Killers of the Flower Moon. Lastly, Al Pacino also starred in The Irishman and currently appears on Amazon’s Hunters.
