RUMOR: ‘Morbius’ Will Reference Tom Holland’s Spider-Man

The connection between the MCU and the Sony Universe of Marvel Characters is beginning to form. It seems that Jared Leto’s Morbius will be the first film in the SUMC to reference the events of the MCU, specifically Tom Holland’s Spider-Man films.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, there will be references to Holland’s Spidey in Morbius, which could be the first step in making the spinoffs part of the MCU. Additionally, Dr. Movie News clarified that the connection include a supporting role for J.K. Simmons’ J. Jonah Jameson as well as “wanted” posters for Spider-Man, referencing the events of Far From Home.
From what we’ve gathered, the Sony “Spider-Verse” events & plot points will only be referenced in Spider-Man films & NOT in any other Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
