Zac Efron To Star In ‘Three Men And A Baby’ Remake For Disney+

Despite its impressive catalog of Marvel, Pixar, and even 20th Century Fox films, the pressure to produce original content continues to mount at Disney+. With that in mind, the streaming service looks to reboot a number of fan-favorites like Turner & Hooch and Doogie Howser. As first reported by THR, Zac Efron will star in the upcoming remake of the 1987 comedy Three Men and a Baby.
Starring Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg, and Ted Danson, the original film follows three bachelors as they attempt to become more responsible after the mysterious arrival of a child belonging to one of them. The script was based on the 1985 French film titled Trois hommes et un couffin (Three Men and a Cradle). Directed by the incredible Leonard Nimoy, the comedy went on to become the highest-grossing film of 1987 and spawned the 1990 sequel Three Men and a Little Lady.

The upcoming remake will stream exclusively on Disney+. Zac Efron will lead the ensemble with more casting information likely to follow this initial report. Will Reichel (Hot Air) penned the screenplay with Gordon Gray (The Way Back) on-board to produce.
Zac Efron is one of the most recognizable faces in modern Hollywood. Since bursting on the scene in the High School Musical films, the actor branched out to build quite the résumé. Last appearing on the big screen Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile and Scoob!, the star now hosts his own travel show on Netflix titled Down to Earth with Zac Efron.
