Additionally, the cast of the upcoming series will include Stellan Skarsgard and Kyle Soller (The Inheritance) as well. Moreover, iconic Star Wars characters like Grand Moff Tarkin, Mon Mothma, and Bail Organa will reportedly appear as well.
Rogue One debuted as the first Star Wars film to deviate from the franchise’s normal episodic nature. It featured a bevy of new characters and shed light on the rise of Darth Vader post-Revenge of the Sith. However, the film’s events ended with tragedy as the Empire crushed the opposition after they successfully completed their mission. The Diego Luna-led series will serve as a prequel to Rogue One. It will feature Luna reprising his role as Cassian Andor with Alan Tudyk returning as his droid K-2SO.
