Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano Rumored To Appear In Obi-Wan Disney+ Series

Earlier this year, the Star Wars community collectively lost their minds with excitement. Various reports revealed Daredevil star Rosario Dawson will appear in The Mandalorian season two as the fan-favorite character from the Star Wars animated series The Clone Wars Ahsoka Tano. Now, as first reported by The Illuminerdi, it looks like Dawson’s version of the character will play a much bigger role on Disney+ going forward.
Per the initial report, Dawson is in talks to appear in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series. While the series is in the midst of creative turmoil with rewrites, the final product could reunite Obi-Wan and Ahsoka Tano, this time in live-action. The two fan-favorite characters formed quite the bond during the 7 seasons of the animated series The Clone Wars. Additionally, Hayden Christiansen is rumored to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in the series as well.

Until otherwise confirmed, this rumor should be taken with a grain of salt. Although, the notion that Ewan McGregor could interact with Ahsoka in the future is very exciting. The future of the live-action shows on Disney+ will feature a bevy of characters previously exclusive to the animated shows. Moreover, a series focusing on Ahsoka herself is also in the early stages of development.
The Kenobi series looked to be an extremely ambitious adventure. With episodes directed by Deborah Chow (Beauty and the Beast), the series is set to feature the likes of Luke Skywalker and Jar-Jar Binks. Additionally, Ewan McGregor teased his version of Obi-Wan Kenobi would be more like Alec Guinness’ original incarnation. The actor seems genuinely excited to reprise and expand the role in a series. Moreover, Disney+ continues to move forward with season 2 of its first live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian.
